there is a bug fix in the latest version (1.40) that might resolve your
issue.

I 've got the same problem
Acer Travelmate 800lci ; mandrake 9.1
I need to restart the network interface because I lose connection often.
I can use mozilla without any problem, but when the network is more
sollicited , such as when using rdesktop or ftp, I get disconnected.
