Hello people
I got a problem using VMware with bridged - network settings and
Linuxant 1.48 under SuSE 9.0 (kernel 2.4.21-144-default).
The log (/var/log/messages) writes:
Dec 14 16:05:56 tpr40-bf kernel: bridge-eth0: set IFF_PROMISC
Dec 14 16:05:56 tpr40-bf kernel: /dev/vmnet: port on hub 0 successfully
opened
Dec 14 16:05:56 tpr40-bf kernel: driverloader: ndisSetInformation:
GEN_CURRENT_PACKET_FILTER st=NOT_SUPPORTED W=4 N=0
Dec 14 16:06:07 tpr40-bf kernel: bridge-eth0: lost IFF_PROMISC
The machine goes very slowly, the vmware do not get network.
After shutting down the vmware, the performance rises on usual
level.
Once I had a crashed driverloader and a system hang. There was
a message in the log:
Dec 14 10:57:29 tpr40-bf kernel: eth0: New link status: Disconnected
(0002) Dec 14 10:57:29 tpr40-bf kernel: eth0: License not valid
Dec 14 10:57:29 tpr40-bf kernel: eth0: Error -111 configuring card
Any ideas?
