Mike,
Thanks for the reply. Just changed the channel I was broadcasting
from. Didnt realize that there might be interference! Thanks for the
offer to help. My situation is as follows?
I have the wpa supplicant 2.3 package, had tried to do something before,
but after I went to my router (linksys BEFW11S4, 802.11b) turned on
encryption then tried to set the key on my machine, but wasnt able to
connect.
I really need help on the config files and how/where to enter the keys -
hex or regular word? The router allows wpa shared key, wep, radius, wpa
radius. Does the wpa_supp support all of them? What is the easiest to
get going?
To make my card start on boot now (and after closing the lid), I have to
use the rc.local file workaround with (dldrstop, modprobe driverloader,
ifup eth0). I havent gotten around to changing the inits so network
comes up before the card so I dont have to do the rc.local shuffle.
So how is that going to affect the wpa_supp stuff? I would really like
to stop broadcasting my ssid and encrypt my traffic. Hope you/Linuxant
can help!
Thanks,
Robert
