Hi,
which tool do you use to obtain the link quality? If you read these
values from the output of 'iwlist' and 'iwconfig', please note that
these values are logarithmic values and this is why the link quality
seems to drop so fast when you move the access point farther from the
wireless card. These values are expected to be read by the various front
ends and these front ends expect that these values to be in a
logarithmic scale.
