Hi,
a KEY without the s: prefix is a HEX key so if you want to use a ASCII
WEP key, you will need to use the s: prefix. For example:
---
KEY=s:XXXXXXX
---
It is also possible that you have to explicitly set the security mode or
else it will not work depending on the Windows XP driver used and the
access point. For example, you could try with the following keys:
---
KEY="s:XXXXXXX open"
KEY="s:XXXXXXX restricted"
---
There is more information on this subject in the 'iwconfig' manual page.
Please let us know if you require more assistance.

However, I have not been able to successfully configure WEP option (which works seamlessly under Windows XP). The free trial will be expiring very soon and I would like to purchase a license, but I am reluctant to do so without being able to fully unilize the option of WEP protection. I tried adding
