Hi,
you can have multiple network interfaces on a machine that use DHCP
without any problems. Since using static IP information fixed the
problem, then either the DHCP requests are blocked by a firewall or
there is a problem with the DHCP server in the access point. This is the
2 more likely cause of the problem.
To setup your WEP key, we recommend that you use the network
configuration tool that came with your Linux distribution. In the case
of Fedora Core 4, this program can be started with the 'neat' command in
a shell.
