Suse 9.2, 64bit, Broadcom BCM4306, worked fine on installation but doesn't work now!

I also have the problem of:

wlan0 device: Broadcom Corporation BCM4306 802.11b/g Wireless
LAN Controller (rev 03)
wlan0 warning: using NO encryption
ERROR: Error while executing:
Command 'ip route replace to 169.254.0.0/16 dev wlan0' returned:
RTNETLINK answers: No such device
Configuration line: 169.254.0.0 - 255.255.0.0 wlan0
SuSEfirewall2: Warning: no interface active
SuSEfirewall2: Firewall rules successfully set from
/etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2

The sad thing is that it worked fine when I first installed it and now I can't get it working!

In addition, I'm getting an "Error inserting ipfwadm: Device or resource busy" after "no interface active..although I think I saw that yesterday and it still worked.

And I can see my wireless router through wlan's config, so the wireless card is obviously "active".

One difference from before is that I had plugged in the ethernet line temporarily and that might have somehow set the default route correctly? Now my route is "127.0.0.0/8 dev lo scope link". I guess I need to add a default route or gateway somehow to make the "ifup wlan0" work? And what's the deal with this ipfwadm?

Thanks in advance,
