[hcflinux] Can't use modem

Hi,
I think I'm having the same problem as Matt Blake. I'm running Slackware 8 (?) and ordinary PPP. PPP complains that /dev/modem and /dev/ttySHCF0 don't exist so i can't use the modem. I can't remember the VendorID or DeviceID, but any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
