[hcflinux] send a fax via hcf modem

I have recently converted to linux (yay!) on my new PC at home.  I've got my
conexant hcf modem working under Mandrake 8.2 now (thanks for the driver!).

I see under "limitations" that it says FAX is untested.

Does that imply that it should be possible?  

Has anyone tried this yet?  How do I set it up?
