[hcflinux] modversions.h

I am a Linux newbie and I just intalled Debian Woody in my PC and installed 
the hcfpcimodem-0.96mbsibeta02062500.tar.gz with METHOD C.

But when I tried to run the hcfpciconfig to complete the instalation, it 
somehow asked for a file called modversions.h which is nowhere to be found 
on my disk.

Does anybody has a clue which step did I miss?
