[hcflinux] mtu 1400 ? ....and no flow...

I can connect with my modem hcf 125a:1002 ...but i can´t get any real thing
because the connection seems to be to slow.
also i get MTU 1400 ...i don't know if it has something to do with it.

I have mandrake 8.0... p2 400Mhz
kernel 2.4.18
