[hcflinux] Downloading Conexant driver

I'm a linux newbie.  I've found the appropriate Conexant  driver on your web page "Linux Drivers for Conexant"  for Mandrake 9.0 using Explorer 6.  I'm not sure it downloads as I can't find it in anywhere in my windows 98 OS. Am I supposed to download this in Windows or Linux and if the latter I'm in catch 22 situation as  Mandrake is unable to recognize the modem. Can you help?
