At the conexant chipset modem for Linux website there is a good pdf
manual for all the AT commands and S parameters. There are many S
parameters that can be set, using the command Sn=x where n is the
parameter number and x is the parameter-usually an integer but can be a
string too. As I recall, a parameter can be set for the amount of time
the modem will wait from the time it goes off-hook to start dialing. You
could try playing with this parameter. There are others you can
experiment with as well. In the manual there is a long list of all the
parameters and what values, or ranges of values, they can be set to.
As just a quick and dirty test, you can also just try inserting commas
into the dial string as such:
ATDT,555555555555 or ATDT,,5555555555555 etc..
each comma will introduce a delay set by one of the S parameters. The
default is 2 seconds I believe.
Good luck,
GEorge
