I was wondering if this modem is supported or not.  Based on previous posts to the list I've learned there may be a problem with SmartDAA which I have no idea about, XFS (which I don't have but it may be a related problem - I'm using ext3) I may have installed the driver wrong (I tried from source and rpm (which didn't work due to Vector Linux adding a @ sign after /bin/sh odd, anyways).  I'm getting a NULL pointer dereference.  I looked in /etc/modules.conf and it detected my modem settings fine but it doesn't want to work.  What am I doing wrong or what can I do to fix it?
