[hcflinux] Re: No dialtone or DTMF signals heard no matter what I do

Cancel that request! All that I needed to do after making the changes
was to reboot in order to be able to hear my modem as I was dialing out!
Until now, I didn't know that it was necessary in Linux when making
changes such as these; I thought that all I had to do was log-out from
root and then log back in again as a user. I apologize for the
oversight, and for sending my last message in HTML format.
