[hcflinux] (no subject)

I have linux redhat 9 with conexant hcf 1205 pci modem I have installed the rpm 
driver for my kernel which went ok - I have the kernel module loading the right 
country etc and dev/modem pointing to ttyshcfo as described in the instruction. 
It does not appear to work! with minicom, wvdial or redhats network setup even 
though i have set all the parameters up and rebooted etc. (minicom says it 
inialized the modem but I do not believe it) any advice/help is very 
appreciated
