[hcflinux] hcfmodems with firewall boxen?

Has anybody tried running one of these hcf modems as the red-side modem
on a linux-firewall like smoothwall or ipcop?
Any issues in building and importing the driver or of usability?

the month or two before adsl arrives in this neck of the woods)
