your modem seems to work fine and your problem is with the configuration of
wvdial. Please consult wvdial's documentation to learn how to make it work
with your ISP.

Hi there,
I've installed the rpm version of the Conexant HCF driver for my system.
(kernel 2.4.20-9 on athlon)and made the hcfpciconfig automatically. The
driver has installed ok.
I do use wvdial to connect to my ISP, it gets through most of the process
but does not seem to connect.
It connects under Windows 2000 !!!
Anyone could help on this ?? Please see attached dmesg.txt and wvdial.txt
files.
