Hi,

modem-on-hold should work regardless of the connection speed, as long as the
server modem supports it and has it enabled. You also need a user-level
software running to warn you when a call is received. This software is not
yet available for Linux.

Not all HCF modems support v.92. You can run "hcfpciconfig --info" to find
out which configuration the driver is using (v.90 or v.92).

Does modem-on-hold work when you get poor connection speeds like 26.4
instead
of 33.3+? I doubt it, but want to make sure. Also, V.92 does not require
buying a new modem if you have an HCF winmodem, correct?

Thanks!
