[hcflinux] NO CARRIER problem wont go - tried all options . . .

I got some idea from previous correspondenses on the hcfmodem lists for the 'NO CARRIER'
problem.
I tried it all but no responses - am I doing it right ?
1)
I changed the current.cty and current.inf files only at
"HKR,OEM,FLAGS,1,"
"HKR,Country\XX,RELAYS,1,"
"HKR,Country\XX,FLAGS,1,"
based on the working modem .inf and .cty files in Windows.
No result the modem dials too early ... NO CARRIER finally
2)
Also I tried adding the kernel boot parameters:
pci=noacpi acpi=off apm=off to grub.conf in /boot/grub
But again No result the modem dials too early ... and NO CARRIER
3)
Then I downloaded your latest tar packages for riptide and hcfmodem
(riptide-0.6lnxtbeta03091200.tar; hcfpcimodem-1.00lnxt03091600free.tar)
after installing both when I run hcfconfig it gives 'modem driver not active' or something of the
sort and it doesnt work)
4) Then I reinstalled the older hcf drivers after uninstalling the new one . . .
The old driver version
hcfpcimodem-0.99lnxtbeta03042700.tar
atleast loads and dials - but the new one (noncommercial free limited capability ver.)
is useless it seems.
A replication of the 'dmesg' is provided below:
Do respond if you see anything useful below - I did not get any reponses last time round . . .
I was pretty sure this time I would make the modem work - but I am on the verge of giving up !
