Content preview: I'm trying to setup Linux on my parent's HP Pavilion
(UK model), with a dual boot windows98 setup. I've tested the PCI modem
under Windows and am able to dial up a remote modem but am unable to do
the same under Linux (the riptide and HCF drivers seem to be loaded
correctly). I would note that the machine is from the UK and I'm
testing in Norway, although I have tried setting the region to UK and
