For Conexant modem drivers, a license token is needed to generate a 
license key to activate the full version for each device on an single 
machine.
---

In other words, the user can change the driver package used, the kernel 
or even the complete Linux distribution without any problems for the 
license as long as this is the same modem and on the same machine.
