I have a diamond PCI HCF modem. I can get it
working fine in my main Linux PC, which is kernel 2.4.2-2, i686. Great. This was
using the appropriate download from mbsi.

I have bought a cheap compaq PC to use as a
firewall and have loaded smoothwall onto it but it doesn;t like this modem. I
can get smoothwall to dial out using an external modem but not this PCI
one.

The problem is now that although I can download the
rpm file from mbsi I can;t install it on my firewall because it doesn;t have rpm
on it, or in fact a compiler so creating from source isn't
possible.

Is there anywhere I can get hold of the binaries
for this driver online in a tar format? I suppose I could get the appropriate
rpm from the site, install it on my linux PC and then copy all the files across
but I'd prefer to be able to get an installable package.
