Thanks Marc for helping out with conextant drivers for linux. After two years 
of owning a Toshiba 1605, and dual booting into windows when I needed to get 
online, finding these drivers is a godsend!

The only problems I am having is occasionally getting pppd suddenly died 
errors. 

But the throughput speed seems to be a tad faster then the windows 
counterpart. (could be my imagination, tho!)
