[hsflinux] If the other msg didn't make it.. Modem can't negotiate..

Sorry about the multiple mails, I am on a 9600 modem and having a huge
problem.. I am on an Inspiron  8200 and the modem will not negotiate at
all, or hang up immediately. It sounds very messed up and I have no clue
on how to go about diagnosing this.. Here is the diagdump:
