Hi:

I just install
hsflinmodem-5.03.03.L3mbsibeta02101000k2.4.18_14-1rh.i686.rpm and it shows:

rpm
Preparing... ###########################################
[100%]

Linux HSF softmodem drivers, version 5.03.03.L3mbsibeta02101000

WARNING: this is an EXPERIMENTAL BETA VERSION of the HSF drivers for Linux.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! See the file /usr/lib/hsf/LICENSE for details.

Selected PCI VendorID=8086 DeviceID=2486
and INF file /etc/hsf/inf/linux_intel_smartmc.inf

Configuring modem for country: "USA"
You can change this setting later with the command "hsfconfig --country"

Pre-built HSF modules that seem compatible with your system were found under
/usr/lib/hsf/modules/binaries/i686/RedHat/linux-2.4.18-14.

Your HSF modem should now be accessible as /dev/ttySHSF0
or through the symbolic link /dev/modem.

Seems fine.

Then I run kppp, It give me error:

Opener: received OpenLock

Opener: received OpenDevice
error opening modem device !
Opener: received RemoveLock
Opener: received OpenLock

Opener: received OpenDevice
error opening modem device !

Can anyone tell me how to solve it?
