[hsflinux] Linmodem HSF

Hi,

I just installed the linmodem driver

hsflinmodem-5.03.27-mbsibeta02122600k2.4.10_4GB-1suse.i386.rpm

for linux 7.3, kernel 2.4.10_4GB, modem Acer 56k Surf PCI containing the
HSFi-Modem of Conexant.

Everything worked fine. I checked it with
screen /dev/modem:

ATZ
OK
ATS?
000
OK
ATS10?
014
OK
ATA
NO CARRIER (after a tone of the wire)

Then I checked in YAST2 the hardware configuration for the modem
(/dev/modem
Name: modem())

and tried to use Netscape6.

Unfortunately nothing happened; the moedem didn't react.
So, did I forget something or is there something wrong in the configuration
or whereever?
