Hi,

my guess is that you are using a kernel from Conectiva 9 but your kernel
sources do not match this kernel and you are trying to compile the driver
modules with these sources.

You should configure your kernel sources and then compile your own custom
kernel. Once you booted with your own kernel, recompile the driver modules
again using this properly configured kernel source tree.

Subject: [hsflinux] hsfconfig problems under CL9

Please, I'm having problems when running hsfconfig under Conectiva 9...

Yes, after installing Conectiva 9 for the 2nd time I've got problems while
running hsfconfig... I've installed it fine on the first time, when I chose
to install CL9 using Personal Install option... and chose all the packages I
needed... Then my modem installed ok and work very smooth... but despite
some other problems, I simply had to reinstall my linux, and this time, just
to get a faster installation, I chose the Desktop option... To my surprise,
it didn't install neither MAKE nor GCC... ok, got them installed and now I
could finally compile hsf drivers... but when I tried to run hsfconfig, it
couldn't create the devices...
It gave me this message:

Re-compiling HSF modules for kernel 2.4.21-28872cl, using source directory
/lib/modules/2.4.21-28872cl/build. Please wait..
Re-compilation and installation of HSF modules succeeded.

Your HSF modem should now be accessible as /dev/ttySHSF0
or through the symbolic link /dev/modem. <------------------------ NO!!!
THEY WERE NOT CREATED!!!!!

Oh, by the way, I'm using hsflinmodem5.03.03.01mbsibeta02052102.tar.gz since
it's really the most stable driver version for my modem.

So, do you guys think you could give me a hand here?
