Hi,
We discovered at least one bug that could cause the problem that you are
describing and released a new driver version recently.
Please make sure that you are running the latest version
(6.03.00lnxt03091600).
If you still have problems, you should run "hsfconfig --dumpdiag" and send
us the file that it generates.

Subject: [hsflinux] Help me out with Conexant Modem Dialing
Hi,
I have a Redhat Linux 9 installed on my Sony GRV550 laptop. I
have a CXT-AC link modem installed in COM3 port. It works fine in
windows xp. I downloaded the HSF driver from linuxant and then
installed them and the driver identified the correct vendor(8086)
and device ID(2486) for my modem but unfortunately /dev/modem link
didnt work. I found out that there is IRQ problems with this
laptop and installed acpi patch in my laptop. The /dev/modem
worked fine and I tried to setup my kppp and also wvdial. The
problem is the modem tries to connect but fails. I keep getting
"line busy error" always. I have included the wvdial output text.
The dial is pulse dialing. I hear dial tone when the modem tries
to connect but I dont hear it dialing the number and then get this
error. Please help me out. I am attaching the hsfdump also along
with this email.
Thanks,
Vinod
