[hsflinux] Orrible bug - solved

Bug: error "unresolved symbol _mmx_memcpy" for *all* hsf modules after
successful compile and depmod -a. Not only hsf modules, but also many
other standard modules, too many to list.

Hardware:

Compaq 700EA notebook, AMD Duron 869 MHz, HSFi Linmodem, thanks to Marc
his HSFi driver worked.

Kernel:

Kernel.org 2.4.18 source compiled for Intel support ("make xconfig"),
which worked perfectly for hsf.

Subsequently: Recompiled and reinstalled kernel with AMD K6 support.

The hsf modules and thus the modem continued to work, even after a
reboot.

Because of Marc's driver update of 24 May 2002:

Recompiled and hsfconfiged new hsflinmodem.

Symptoms:

During "depmod -a", not only *all* hsf drivers, including the one that
had worked previously, gave: "unresolved symbol _mmx_memcpy" and would
not load. But also modules such as soundcore, sound and cram.

Recompiled and hsfconfigured old driver, which had previously worked
with the same result.

Workaround/solution:

Recompile kernel with no AMD support, but normal Intel support.
