I'd say that it would be necessary for you to give much more info. about
your hardware.

You've probably already found the following url:

If not, perhaps you'd like to go there and follow the instructions.
Apart from anything else, you'll find a utility for listing precisely
what modem you =do= have.

On the basis thereof, you yourself can determine which HSF/HCF driver
might, justb possibly, work for your Red Hat OS version and your HP
notebook.
