I used the *tar.gz version.

Runs perfectly on Compaq/VIA 14f1:2f00, self-compiled kernel.org
2.4.18-ACPI and gcc3.0.4 (same compiler as the kernel).

No problems whatsoever to report. Except the modules don't say: "Ha
det!/goodbye" any more when they exit. But I can fix that for myself,
now :c)
