[hsflinux] Lockup on kernel 2.4.21

I'm running SuSE9.0 Personal on a Compaq Presario 900 series
notebook. I can dial-in and connect to my ISP. Unfortunately,
the KDE desktop regularly locks up when I'm browsing in Mozilla,
or Konqueror. This usually happens within 1-2 hours after
connecting. The modem works fine under Windows, so I'm confident
that I don't have a hardware problem. Are there any configuration/setup
issues with Linux that might cause this problem?
