Hi,
please make sure that the status of the license is set to 'OK' in the
output of the 'hsfconfig --info' command in a root shell.
It is quite possible that Xandros doesn't have the HSF modem driver in
it's database and this is why the automated or distribution specific
tools are not able to detect it.
You can issue AT commands to the modem with a program such as 'minicom'
which is likely to be available for Xandros.
Instead of using high level graphical tools to send a fax, you could try
to manually invoke either efax or hylafax from the command line. In this
way, it might help figure out if the problem is the fax program, the
modem driver or the graphical tool.
