Hi,
I just got a new DELL PowerEdge SC430 with a Conexant Modem installed. I am
using SME Server Version 7.0 linux distribution ( CENTOS 4.2 ) based.
The kernel version is 2.6.9-22.0.1.EL. I downloaded V 7.43 for this kernel
from the Linuxant website.
Some output which might be of use ...
[root at ash-cutel ~]# uname -a
Linux ash-cutel 2.6.9-22.0.1.EL #1 Thu Oct 27 12:26:11 CDT 2005 i686 i686
i386 GNU/Linux
[root at ash-cutel ~]# hsfconfig
Conexant HSF softmodem driver, version 7.43.00.01full
If you need license keys, assistance or more information, please go to:
http://www.linuxant.com/
When reporting a problem for the first time, please send
us the file generated by "hsfconfig --dumpdiag".
Pre-built driver modules that seem compatible with your system were found
under
/usr/lib/hsfmodem/modules/binaries/linux-2.6.9-22.0.1.EL.
Would you like to use them? [yes]
If I answer [yes] to this - the system hangs completely and has to be
rebooted.
THe following is the output from lspci -vv

Anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong ? Anyone got one of this
modems working with the above configuration?
best regards,
John.
