Hi,
for the "NO CARRIER" problem, please make sure that the right country is
selected with the 'hsfconfig --country' command in a root shell. You
could also try with the 'AT &F X1' init. string to see if there is a
difference.
For the sound problem, it is possible that using the HSF modem driver
might have an impact on HDA sound as the HSF modem driver provides the
snd-hda-intel and the snd-hda-codec modules, which replace the modules
of the same name provided with the Linux kernel. It is possible that you
will have to merge the changes made in CVS ALSA into the HSF modem
driver in order to add support for your HDA sound device.
