I have a Sony Vaio VGN-A230P laptop. I installed Ubuntu Dapper 6.06 on it.
usually when I am connected to Internet via hsfmodem after some surfing the
web, everything freezes and a kernel panic occurs. (I guess the more firefox
tabs I open the more crashes I face.)
specification:
Sony Vaio VGN-A230P
CPU: Centrino 1.6 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
uname -r results: 2.6.15-25-386
hsfmodem driver package:
hsfmodem_7.47.00.01full_k2.6.15_25_386_ubuntu_i386.deb
I should mention that in last version of ubuntu (5.10) I did not face this
problem with appropriate hsfmodem driver.
any idea about solutions to this problem?
Thank you in advance.
