[hsflinux] HSF modem dies randomly

I have the exact same problem under Suse 10.1 but in my case the stubborn
module is hsfmc97ati. I haven't found a solution for it apart from not using
gmail :) . I was told that the HSF modem driver is not aware of what is
happening on the TCP/IP, HTTP, etc... level of communication so it's a
strange issue. Anyway at least I know now it's not my ati hardware
that causes it.
