Hi,
the problem is that you have a HDA modem and in the output of the
'hsfconfig --info' command we can see that HDA support is not enabled in
the driver.
The likely cause for this problem is that the compilation of the HDA
modules failed. You can run the 'make' command in the
'/usr/lib/hsfmodem/modules' directory, you will see the compilation
problem. The source of the problem is likely in the files in the
'/usr/lib/hsfmodem/modules/GPL/hda' directory.
Support for Ubuntu Edgy will be added when it will be officially released.
There is an experimental patch for Ubuntu Dapper 2.6.15 kernels support
for HDA modems. I have attached the patch to this post. The patch can be
installed with the 'sudo hsfconfig --patch <file.patch>' command.
