Hi,
please try with the default kernel shipped with the Linux distribution
you are using. If the driver does work correctly (with > 1GB RAM), build
your own kernel with only a single change from the default kernel and
test again. Keep adding kernel options and kernel patches to finally
reach the kernel you want. Each time you add an option or patch, you
should build a new kernel and test the driver again. Eventually, you
will find out which specific kernel option or patch that is incompatible
with the driver with > 1GB RAM.
You should also try with the latest versions of the HSF driver and
alsa-driver-linuxant as well.
