<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I have a Compaq Presario 2535QV and user Knoppix 

Linux running from CD. Have downloaded source files of HSF modem (it has a 

Conexant 56K ACLink Modem), built them, run hsfconfig which recognized my modem 

and created /dev/modem links. Everything was just fine till I tried to run any 

connection software. It always says "Modem device is busy". What is going on and 

what should I do to make it work?</FONT></DIV></BODY></HTML>
