[driverloader] unable to set WEP key on a Proxim gold 11b/g pccard

The card is a Proxim IEEE 802.11b/g PC Card (Model: 8570-WD).
"Cardctl ident" shows:

 product info: "Atheros Communications, Inc.", "AR5001-0000-0000", 
"Wireless LAN Reference Card", "00"
 manfid: 0x0271, 0x0012
 function: 6 (network)

I'm using the driver "ntpr11ag" from Proxim, Version 03/17/2003,2.3.1.10 
(which came on the CD with the card.


I am able to get this card working fine with Linuxant driverloader 
(version 1.71) as long as encryption is turned off.  When I try to set a 
key, however, using:

iwconfig eth1 key 666f6f6261

I get the following output in /sys/log/messages:

driverloader : ndisSetInformation: 802_11_ADD_WEP st=BUFFER_TOO_SHORT 
W=17 N=20
eth1: Error -28 configuring keys

Anyone know a way around this?
