I am reasonably new to Linux but, like a great number of other people it would
appear, I am having trouble with seeting up the Belkin F5D7000 with Suse 9.1.
Having read a number of lists it appeared that Linuxant was the way to go. I
installed and configured it and now my system appears to recognise the card.
iwconfig and ifconfig appears to report everything is OK and yet I still
cannot ping the PC in the next room which is setup in the same way, apart
from the IP address
the outputs from iwconfig read:
o no wireless extensions.
sit0 no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
eth1 no wireless extensions.
eth2 no wireless extensions.
wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"HomeTest" Nickname:"linux1"

and ifconfig for the wlan0 interface reads:
wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:30:BD:F7:D4:83

The PC in the other room is the same but has an IP address of 192.168.0.102
and a mask of 255.255.255.0 as well.
It lloks like I am now 95% there, why can i not get the two to talk. As can be
seen I am occasionally receiving packets from the wireless network
Any ideas
Thanks in advance,
