Hi,

please make sure that your have set with YaST the wireless interface to
start on boot. Alternatively, you can manually modify the configuration
file of the wireless interface. Under SuSE, this configuration file is
named '/etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-wlan0'. With YaST, as far as I know,
you can only specify only one ESSID but it is quite possible that you
will be able to use the profile feature if you want to connect to
different wireless networks with the wireless card.

For graphical applications to obtain the signal strength and to see
available networks, you could try KWifiManager:

http://kwifimanager.sourceforge.net/

While Linuxant have not tested this software, many users have reported
that it is compatible with DriverLoader. Fedora Core 3 and 4 users can
also try to use NetworkManager which is shipped with these distributions.
