[hcflinux] 127a:1005 hcf_request_port: ComCtrlOpen failed, r=1!

Hi,
I have a 127a:1005 modem in a Rockwell pci card.
I'm using Slackware 8.0. I have compiled without any
problem the .tar.gz source package, but when I try to
load the modules, I receive "ComCtrlOpen failed,
r=1!".
dmesg says something like "dReset failed". 
Does it mean that the modem is not supported by the
driver ? Is there any way to make it work ?

Any help would be very appreciated.
