[hcflinux] (HCF on Mandrake 8.2), "strange" answer to "at+class=?" and related problems with Hylafax

Hy all.

I am a newbie of the list, but I have been using the drivers for a while.

I have a HCF modem on a Linux Mandrake 8.2 box (kernel 2.4.18-6mdk modified).

The modem is working perfectly with kppp. 

When I tried to use it with Hylafax 4.1.2, it did not work at all.

The problem? It seems to be the fact that the answer to the call

AT+FCLASS=?

is 

+FCLASS(0,1,1.0,8)

instead of being the usual (0,1,1.0) and for this reason Hylafax is not able to 
identify the modem as class 1.

Nevertheles, efax is able to dial with it, even if I didn't really try to send 
faxes.

Did anyone expereince the same problem? How can I solve the problem, if 
possible?
