[hcflinux] trying everything I can

Tried to test with minicom - synaptic says it's installed - went to "run 
program" but can't find program - did "hcfpciconfig --dumpdiag" got file 
name  40681  /tmp/hcfdiag.txt - went to find file - file doesn't exist - ran 
echo $PATH - got   
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6:/root/bin 
   ran rpm -Q iputils   got iputils-20020124-8      ran   locate ping   got 
a response of about 100 lines of text - lots of file names  [?]
