[hcflinux] HCF modem problem

Hi Mohammad,

First, the version of the HCF driver you are using (0.98mbsibeta0211) is
really old and obsolete. The latest one is hcfpcimodem-1.00lnxt03091200,
available from www.linuxant.com.

Second, 127a:1025 is an ambiguous ID which, despite what lspci says, can also
be HSF so you should also try the HSF driver if HCF doesn't work once the
__out_of_line_bug below (which is another issue) has been resolved and
the driver can be loaded / tested.

Finally, in your installation log I see that you are using the 2.4.18-64GB-SMP
kernel, which is for SMP (multiprocessor) machines with more than 4 gigabytes
of memory. Do you have such a machine? If not, then you should
switch your kernel to 2.4.18-4GB or newer.

Marc
