I ve got the same modem and changing to pci=biosirq doesn't
change anything...

There's a message about the system not being able to free
irq 0 for the modem...

My sony is a PCG-GR214MP and the jogdial works just fine on
a mdk82 so it's got nothing to do with it.

Could be somme pb with the sound chip maybe ,

Does anyone know ?
