Looks like you don't have a dialtone. Do you hear a dialtone on a normal
phone ( a countinous tone ) ?
If not, try sending the ATX3 command to the modem before dialing.
( I am not sure if "3" is the correct number. Look up in some docs
what the correct commadn is to turn off dial tone detecting )
